All of us at Pursuant are thrilled to congratulate two of our clients on medaling at the Rio Olympic Games! Both the USA Water Polo and Canada Rugby teams use our services, including peer to peer, to help raise funds to assist their athletes and grow the sport.
USA Water Polo’s women’s team won a gold medal, and Rugby Canada’s women’s team took home a bronze.
You may be surprised to learn that USA Water Polo does not receive government support. “The United States Olympic Committee provides between 25 – 30% of our National Team budget; 10 – 12% of the overall budget,” said USA Water Polo. “Contributions to the ONE COMMITMENT TO EXCELLENCE from grassroots to gold medals annual fund help us close the gap between membership revenue and the cost of fostering growth nationally, funding our National Teams and tackling important initiatives such as coach and referee professional development, expanding the college game and increasing water polo’s media presence via broadcasts, webcasts, YouTube and other social media content.”
