This week we’re helping one of our clients, March of Dimes, launch an important initiative that spreads awareness about preterm birth.
Did you know that of the 15 million babies born prematurely each year, 1 million will die? Moreover, at 11.4 percent, the U.S. has the highest rate of preterm birth of any developed country. Babies who survive an early birth often struggle with illness and developmental setbacks that affect them throughout their lives. (source)
March of Dimes is spreading awareness about premature birth with its #postpurple campaign prior to
November, which is National Prematurity Awareness Month. March of Dimes invites those who have directly or indirectly experienced the reality of premature birth to participate.
Supporters can “Share a memory, offer a wish or celebrate an unforgettable moment” on the campaign page and on social media using #postpurple.
We invite you to post your message, spread the word about March of Dimes, and #postpurple with your friends and family. A full and impactful life requires the best possible start.
