Converting a first-time donor into a major donor has typically been a fundraising idea that’s a lot easier said than done. However, it an im is easier than you think!

A few weeks ago, our very own Rachel Muir had the chance to sit down with our friends at Bloomerang as part of their monthly webinar series to discuss how to move first-time donor to a major donor. During the webinar, Rachel shared shared how to build a portfolio and prioritize major gift prospects, and apply cultivation plans to a calendar to stay organized and upgrade donors.

The key to upgrading donors is to remember that we shouldn’t try to “convince” them. Instead, we should help them realize that they already care. And the more you’re able to find out about your donor’s interests, the easier it is to connect the dots and help them realize they already care a great deal about your cause.
